About the Founder

Fabian has dedicated his career to developing e-commerce in emerging countries. He was the driving force behind the strategic partnership linking eBay and the International Trade Centre - a joint UN and WTO agency. Following 8 years at eBay's European and emerging markets team Fabian founded e-traid, a company that focuses on providing small businesses in emerging markets with access to global e-commerce. He led e-commerce projects across Africa, Latin America, and Central Asia, running trainings for over 800 SMEs and helping over 250 - many of them women led - make their first international sales.

Fabian is a seasoned presenter and facilitator with a strong track record of delivering engaging webinars and training sessions. He has hands-on experience across global ecommerce marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, Etsy), online store platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace), and service marketplaces (Upwork, Fiverr). Fabian holds an M.A. in International Relations from the Graduate Institute (University of Geneva) and is fluent in German, English and French.

His presentations draw on more than a decade of experience in global e-commerce, blending insights from his time at eBay International HQ with his work at e-traid supporting SMEs worldwide. Audiences value his ability to combine strategic vision, practical case studies, and inspiring success stories, making his talks relevant to policymakers, trade promotion agencies, and SME leaders alike.
